Ruth Maier and her work will be at the Red Ribbon Art Exhibition and Sale November 10 @ The Sanctuary in Ridgeway. 7 - 11 pm $10 pp. Sunday November 11 is free! The Red Ribbon Art Exhibition and Sale is the Fort Erie Art Council's annual celebration of local talent. This year's gala will also feature a graffiti-inspired, live painting demonstration by Fort Erie artist, Joel Weldon. The gala includes a silent auction, the opportunity to talk to the artists, while enjoying appetizers and a cash bar. Always a fun and engaging community event, the proceeds from this evening allow us to continue our vital work - supporting the arts in Fort Erie. Proceeds expand our ability to provide diverse classes, concerts and special events in the beautiful Sanctuary building. The Red Ribbon Art Exhibition and Sale will continue on Sunday November 11 from noon until 4 pm. Sunday is geared towards families and no admission is charged. It is an extremely important tenet of our volunteer work, that art plays a relevant and vibrant role in our community. The Fort Erie Arts Council works diligently to ensure that exposure to the arts is available to any adult or child who expresses an interest to learn, to question, to enjoy and to create. At "Red Ribbon", everyone is welcome to pick their favourite paintings, hear about an artist's vision, chat with neighbours and invest in local art. Hope to see you there! Catered by Trailsides. Cash bar.
