Crushing Colonialism was invited to participate in the WorldPride 2025 Human Rights Conference on Piscataway Land ("Washington, D.C."), where we presented this powerful panel, which explored how Indigiqueer creatives are transforming arts, media, and cultural narratives — reclaiming space, resisting colonial erasure, and affirming Indigenous sovereignty and queer existence. The panel also uplifted the work of Crushing Colonialism, dedicated to empowering Indigenous and 2SLGBTQIA+ storytellers, artists and media-makers across the globe. 🎙️ Moderated by: Jen Deerinwater (Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma), Founding Executive Director of Crushing Colonialism. 🎤 Panelists:
  • Fabiana Gibim (Guarani-Kaiowá, Brazil–Paraguay border)
  • Rivolta Sata (Afriqiyah & Abya Yala)
  • Elton Naswood (Navajo Nation, Near to the Water People Clan)
