Exhibition Opening from Shobhan Oliver at The New Public Library

The new Public Library Exhibition Rooms Byron Bay, showcases its first solo exhibition from Shobhan Oliver called 'The Silver Series.' Her paintings and drawings will be on display from the 5th till the 25th of April. The exhibition rooms in the new Public Library are dedicated to Art, and are light and spacious. The new exhibition space encouraged Shobhan to rent both rooms and launch an opening exhibition on Friday the 5th at 5.30 pm, with her art works 'The Silver Series.' Steven Giese, local painter, art historian and teacher will introduce and open the exhibition at 6pm. Between 7 and 9pm ambient local band 'Dinkum Bohos' will be playing some bohemian sounds and local jazz/blues burlesque cabaret chanteuse Miss Belle Benét will be singing a few songs in between. If you are feeling creative and inspired there will also be a small Life drawing group that starts on Saturday 6th April and resumes on the 13th & 20th April called "Model in The Middle." The start time is 3.30 - 6 pm and our model Anna will pose in the middle of a colourful and intriguing decor. Bring your coloured oil, pastels, markers and paper cost for the night will be $15.00.
