In 2007, the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce developed a Task Force of business leaders in the community to help address sustainability issues and provide realistic solutions by promoting cleantech and sustainable technologies. This Task Force was a key sponsor in bringing the Clean Tech Open, a business competition between innovative startups, to the Rocky Mountain region.
