Hurricanes destroy, humans rebuild and learn about the necessity of compassion and creativity in survival. This film is my own personal mourning process related to Hurricane Ike and the changes this hurricane brought to our lives. It explores issues of social justice and the need to join forces. Poetry, film-making, writing, visual arts and all kinds of creativity speak the meanings that we often cannot adequately capture in simple speech.
