An interdisciplinary team of student consultants traveled to northwestern Haiti in January 2011 as part of the RGK Center for Philanthropy and Community Service Curtis W. Meadows, Jr. Social Enterprise Fellows program. The LBJ School of Public Affairs and the McCombs School of Business students were there to conduct a rural needs assessment in partnership with a faith-based nonprofit that has been investing in Haiti for more than a decade. In this video, the students who traveled to Haiti speak frankly about their experiences, which they say exceeded expectations, left a lasting impression and influenced their post-graduation career ambitions.
