The goal of Reflection Eternal is to exploit a vulnerable machine called ""My Webserver"" and obtain root access using a tool called Metasploit Framework. Once access to root is obtained we injected an iframe code into one of the websites. A final simulation is done accessing the code injected website from a vulnerable Windows Xp machine.
The biggest challenge while working on the project was getting back into the vulnerable virtual machine multiple times after the first time it was done. Another challenge we faced as a team was finding a virtual machine that we could compromise. To fix this we moved to a less difficult virtual box. Our last challenge was recording multiple times for our respective parts in the video. This in itself took multiple takes of trial & error until we got a cut we were satisfied with.
