We are excited to announce the establishment of the Department of Food Science and Nutrition (FSN) as a constituent academic department under the Faculty of Science with effect from 1st January 2023. With the vision of becoming a global leader in the advancement of the Food Science and Nutrition industry, FSN aims to create positive societal impacts, train professional talents, conduct innovative research, and facilitate knowledge transfer for the betterment of public health and the well-being of mankind.​ The Department is dedicated to cultivating all-rounded graduates and preparing them for professional qualifications and career development. To enrich students’ learning experiences and equip them with global perspectives, we actively organize field visits, exchange programmes, and summer internships with renowned overseas institutions and organizations in countries such as the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, Australia, Singapore, Mainland China, and beyond. Furthermore, in order to better equip our students for their careers, we collaborate with local industrial partners to provide numerous part-time internship opportunities and on-the-job training. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that our graduates are well-equipped to excel in the highly competitive global marketplace.
