When I was about to graduate from university, my mother gifted me with a jar of paper hearts. The small project grew as I continued my graduate studies. The jar contained nine or ten hearts with inspirational and motivational quotes given to me by both my mother and grandmother. A thousand hearts later and a newer and maturer understanding of social justice issues, “Ripples” addresses everyday social injustices with a hope to transform and motivate a community to combat all forms of prejudice. …...more
