In Amsterdam IJburg, on the border where urban and rural areas and water meet, the residential development Sluishuis is arising. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and Barcode Architects, the Sluishuis housing complex is partly leaning over the water with walk-on, cantilevered windows. To ensure maximum safety and protection, the windows are equipped with fire-resistant glass with the very high EI60 classification and combined with laminated, toughened safety glass! Interview with Ronald Struik, Project leader MC Kersten, on the collaboration with AGC Glass Europe. A result oriented partnership where the AGC Pyrobel team provided design input, its glass knowledge and project expertise as well as support during fire-tests in order to support the construction of this wonderful project.
