► ► ► BEST STORY AT YUKICON 2017 AMV CONTEST Oh my gosh!! ;__; I can't believe it!! I received the best story award with this video at Yukicon 2017. I've been aiming for this award for years, whenever it has been available AND JUST SIMPLY CAN'T BELIEVE I received it now. Thank you to the judges, the audience and the contest coordinator. THIS JUST MADE ME TOO HAPPY I CAN'T EVEN EXPRESS IT PROPERLY ♥♥♥

★ Yukicon 2017 AMV contest finalist Making of: http://kirarel.tumblr.com/post/157418... Read after watching the video. Sometimes it takes years before you put a video idea into action and sometimes when the idea hits you want to do it almost immediately. The latter was the case with this video. On the contrary to my other video in Yukicon's contest this idea actually hit me only last year. I've always wanted to edit an MMV for a contest but never could since the rules here never allowed it. But when this year the AMV coordinator decided to allow it I immediately took the bait. And oh boy was I up for a time consuming video. I had no idea how time consuming. This video is probably one of the most difficult ones I've edited besides Pyroxene of the Heart. I specificallly learned how to manipulate manga characters even more to make them more appealing, for example I learned how to animate the eyes. My backgrounds and sparkles could be a bit more complex during the manga parts but overall I'm happy with the simplistic feel it gives. The most time consuming thing wasn't the manga though but masking Yoite to be a manga character when in reality he's an anime character. Also the drawing part in which Miharu actually draws his comic, it took me a whole day just to make those two scenes. This also gave the largest amount of rendering problems I've ever had on a single project but now it's fixed and it's here and I can just have a sigh of relief. Compared to my other videos I'm THE MOST happy with how the story in this one came through. For the first time I feel like the story can be understood without any minor details missing (if you're not familiar with the series). Well, the story is completely my own so it's not tied to the world of Nabari no Ou in any way. Also just gotta love I made Miharu a cute "weaboo" who makes self-insert comics of himself and another boy. It is completely up to you if he just wanted someone to love him, in a romantic sense or just wanted a friend. In the end, it is a happy ending Nabari no Ou video and my first one at that. There aren't that many around so glad I could fill that void. :3 But yeah, the story speaks for itself. At least I hope so. ♥ Please tell me what you think about it?

★ Yukicon 2017 AMV-kisan finalisti Editoinnin vaiheita / making of: http://kirarel.tumblr.com/post/157418... Tämä projekti sai tekovaiheessa lempinimen: "On se yksi beep työmaa" eikä ihan syyttä. Pyroxene of the Heartin lisäksi tämä lienee yksi aikaa vieneimmistä projekteistani ikinä. Idea verrattuna toiseen kisavideooni on suhteellisen uusi, itseasissa sain sen vasta viime vuonna. MMVn olen kuitenkin halunnut tehdä kilpailuihin lähes aina, mutta tätä ei ole koskaan ollut sallittu säännöissä. Nyt kun Yukiconin AMV-vastaava päätti ottaa kyseisen säännön käyttöönsä hyökkäsin kirjaimellisesti kuin sika limppuun. :'D Olen täysin tyytyväinen miten sain tässä videossa tarinan esitettyä ja ensimmäistä kertaa tuntuu, että mikään yksityiskohta ei pitäisi mennä katsojalta ohi (jos ei tunne sarjaa). Eikä näin toki pitäisikään olla, sillä tarina on täysin omani. Haasteellista tässä videossa ei ollut vain yksi osa-alue vaan kaikki yhteensä.
