The Mg-doped ZnO thin film had been synthesized by spin coating method. The effects of Mg doping concentration on the structural, morphological, optical and electrical properties were investigated. XRD analysis showed that all samples were polycrystalline nature. From scanning electron microscopy (SEM) analysis, it was found that the surfaces of the samples are homogeneous and grainy with the size of the grains that increases with the concentration of Mg, transmittance values increase slightly with increasing in Mg content. however, a high resistivity has been obtained but it can be controlled with appropriate doping. This leads to the conclusion that our films indicating their suitability in CZTS solar cells as a buffer layer.
