AU Scholars research project for Sustainable Farming. The UN Food and Agricultural Organization estimates that 30% of the world’s crop production is lost or wasted annually. That’s 1.3 billion tons of produce that doesn’t get used. So what can we do to make sure we get the most out of our wasted crops? We traveled to Costa Rica to investigate how organic practices are used to handle this important issue.
