Nokia is deploying the first cellular network on the Moon to connect the lunar vehicles on the IM-2 mission. But this is just the first step. Cellular connectivity could eventually provide the crucial links needed for spacesuits, habitats, fleets of autonomous robots and vast sensor grids.
