Swami Medhanandaji is a monk of the Ramakrishna Order and has been at our Hollywood Monastery since August 2022.
Swami Medhananda received his PhD in 2009 from the University of California at Berkeley, where he specialized in German philosophy. He was also a Fulbright Scholar at the Institut für Philosophie, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2006-7) and a Visiting Student at Magdalen College, University of Oxford (2000-1).
In addition to his monastic and scholarly duties, he serves as Hindu Religious Director at the University of Southern California. Previously, Swami had been the Associate Professor and Head of the Program in Philosophy at Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute at Belur Math.
