This is a recording of the closing plenary at iTELL 2020, delivered by Joe Dale, UK Independent modern foreign languages & technology consultant. In this interactive presentation Joe runs through some quick and easy ways of integrating technology into the language classroom to enhance teaching and learning. Ideas include cross-platform apps for polling students, drawing personalised sketches to promote listening and speaking skills and getting creative with photostories and eBooks. Joe Dale is an independent languages consultant from the UK who works with a range of organisations such as Network for Languages, ALL, The British Council, the BBC, Skype, Microsoft and The Guardian.Joe was recently described in a Guardian article as an ‘MFL guru’ and ‘the man behind the #mfltwitterati. He tweets @joedale. Indonesia technology-Enhanced Language Learning (iTELL) is an association for language educators, practitioners, scholars and educational technology enthusiast. iTELL is dedicated to research, development, and practical implementation on the use of technology in language learning. iTELL President Dr Gumawang Jati describes iTELL as “a home for Indonesian language educators, practitioners, and scholars who have great passion on the potential use of digital technology to create transformation and innovation in the language teaching and learning.” On 22-23 February, 2020 iTELL held it’s third conference conference in collaboration with UIKA, Bogor. iTELL 2020 was the third national conference organised by iTELL following successful conferences in UKSW, Salatiga in 2016 and UNS, Surakarta in 2018.
