A mile south of the University of Oregon campus you’ll find the Amazon Running Trail, a favorite among local athletes and the UO cross country team. The one-mile loop has markers every 100 meters to help with training and lights, making it a great running route at all times of the year. Amazon Running Trail has connecting paths to the Rexius Trail, a 3.5-mile loop bark chip path. If trail-running is more your style, the Rexius Trail connects to the Ridgeline Trail System at Frank Kinney Park.
Hendricks Park, Eugene’s oldest city park, is less than a mile east of the UO campus. The hilly park has a network of paved and unpaved trails which connect to the Ridgeline Trail System. After your run, relax at the rhododendron garden or visit Steve Prefontaine’s memorial.
But don’t stop there! There are plenty of other trails to explore. If you are looking for where to run in Eugene follow the links below for more information.
