It’s natural for folks to intuitively think that the story of what is now North Kingstown must have begun in Wickford. In reality however, “Kingstowne” as it was then known, was established generations prior to Wickford’s beginnings, and Quidnessett, along with the area immediately around the old Boston Post Road, was where it all began.
