★計畫名稱art project：歡迎回家 Welcome Home ★藝術家Artist：黃愛淳Ai-Chun Huang (→my website: https://lovingpure.weebly.com) ★駐村計畫Art Residency program： CORNISH ARTS INCUBATOR ★駐村時間Time：2021, Nov.08-21 ★地點place：Cornish Playhouse in Seattle, USA (實驗劇場Alhadeff Studio Theater) ★特別感謝美國藝術家Flatchestedmama合作演出 Special thanks for the cooperation with Flatchestedmama (@theflatlife ) ( →her website:   / theflatlife   & http://www.flatchestedmama.com) ★技術協助 IT Assistance: Yurii Haptar ★還有感謝我最有創造力的寶貝女兒黃微甯，提供她的傑出有表現力的塗鴉與生活歌舞的錄音 and also thanks to my creative baby daughter, Wei-Ning Huang, her talented drawings and our life recording of her singing and performance ★贊助單位Sponsor：國藝會National Culture and Arts Foundation (Taipei, Taiwan) ★主辦單位Organizer：Cornish College of the arts (Seattle, USA) 我是位視覺藝術家，著重在實驗性動畫與跨媒材裝置藝術，基本上我是㇐個喜歡不斷嘗試不同新媒材的藝術創作者。我過去作品大多從手繪作品再轉入 2D 實驗動畫，發表過的個人系列作品有須彌山、密集夢想、繫弄人生、遊牧喧擾，以及與不同單位合作的商業動畫等等。 我在2020 年在空總 C-LAB 科技妄想工作坊發表了㇐件聲音互動作品—《寶寶與我》，這個計畫是源自於這三年多來，從懷孕到現在，我蒐集我女兒的聲音還有塗鴉，從懷孕時期在醫院產檢時的心跳聲到現在她牙牙學語的母女對話，運用電路板觸碰裝置安裝在懷孕的假模特兒上，只要你碰觸那個懷孕母體模特兒，不同身體部位會發出我女兒的不同聲音情境，像是撫摸肚子，就會聽到當時我在醫院產檢時，跟醫生拜託錄下我女兒的心跳聲，撫摸到腳時，就會聽到我跟我女兒每天上學帶她去幼稚園的走路的腳步聲與母女的日常對話，還有摸到屁股，你就會聽到她醫院打預防針時的哭聲，我在哄她的聲音。㇐切的微小對話片刻，對我跟我女兒來說，都是最真實的生命連結。或許，這些對話，也對你來說，勾起某些你與母親的時刻。 而這件數位聲音裝置作品曾發表在 c-lab 空總 2020 年 12 月由鄭淑麗老師帶領的 lab kill lab的”科技妄想”子計畫中，當時只是㇐個初步概念的發想，從女性在社會上被寄予的身分角色與社會期待，反思到自身身為母親，從懷孕、生產到養育陪伴㇐個從你自身創造出來的生命，命運的牽連如何把兩人的生命緊緊相繫。 我運用科技妄想工作坊習得的數位電路版裝置─BARE CONDUCTIVE touch board 以及ARDUINO 電路板的裝置，結合導電體媒材例如銅箔膠帶、playdou 黏土、silicone 矽利康、錫箔紙等媒材延伸接觸面積，當手碰觸不同身體部位，即會發出特定部位不同孩子的生活錄音，例如撫摸肚子，就會聽到產檢時還在媽媽子宮裡撲通撲通的心跳聲，碰到屁股，會聽到小 孩屁股打針的哭聲。而這些假人聲音裝置，到時會讓觀眾去即興碰觸，造成隨機的時空拼貼對話。 ★上述作品連結 : https://reurl.cc/LbVW5y 因此在這個CORNISH ARTS INCUBATOR駐村計畫中，我將延續此技術，蒐集㇐些重要家庭生活的聲音，並與居家生活中的物件連結，劇場裡的觀眾可以觸碰台上的家具與物件，將會出發不同情境聲音，像是打開床邊的書，會有媽媽跟寶寶說床邊故事的聲音，或是你可以躺在床上，聽到睡覺的打呼聲，或是打開餐廳櫥櫃，會聽到媽媽煮菜還有小孩玩扮家家酒的聲音，或是觸碰梳妝台上的飾品，你會聽到小女孩化妝的說話聲，或是坐在沙發上，你會聽到爸爸與小孩嬉鬧玩耍與電視播放卡通的聲音。在播放過程中，也會看到小孩針對這些特定的生活情境的塗鴉動畫投影在舞台上，這些都是微小卻重要的生活片段。身為㇐位母親與藝術創作者，想要用創作來表現生命的困惑與為難，身為母親，特別能感受到時間被切割到極度破碎，每天照顧小孩與生活起居，充斥著吵鬧的聲音與各種感官的干擾，在這個的駐村空間中，由於主辦方提供了㇐個舞台式的情境，因此我將蒐集很多居家家具物件，安排成㇐個暗喻為家庭的舞台空間，觀眾也是㇐分子，在互動之中，也提起你對家的記憶。 I am a visual artist specializing in experimental animation and multi-media installation.Recently, I made a sound installation which is touchable and interactive. Once you touch the fake pregnant model, such as when people touch her big belly, they will hear my baby’s heartbeat. Or when people touch the model’s butt, they can hear my baby was crying for vaccine injection on her butt. In all, this sound installation contain so many little but meaningful moment in our times. ★Check the video link: https://reurl.cc/LbVW5y Therefore, I’d like to expand this idea to the new project to collect family life sounds and objects to put into the theater stage. I want to invite people to go on stage and touch all the props and objects, you can open cupboards, leaf through books, sit on the sofa, even take a nap on the bed. Once you touch the objects, they will be triggered some animation projection and sound recordings, and it all comes from some valuable life moments at home with your family. They could be mommy’s story telling or mommy calling you to eat, or parents’ arguing conversation. I still remember the experience to watch the famous show “Sleep no more” in New York city. I can go into this immersive theater and be one of the character as well. Therefore, I am really fascinated with the interactive art form which really can not makes people distinguish virtuality from reality. In this project, I want to invite people to interact with my art installation on stage. To touch, to listen, and to feel the little moments of your life. And it will be random, flexible, improvising and unpredictable art performance. I will find some second-hand objects, such as furniture, table, books, lamp, mirror...etc., and combine those objects with “Bare conductive touch board” & “Arduino digital board” to make them have reaction when people touch them. I will work with a jewelry designer who can help me to make some ready-made object collage, such as a dresser with some strange and surreal-style accessories. On the other hand, I will work with a sound artist to help me to mix my recording audio which I collected from my daily life with the techno style music. It will be like soundscape music, and those environmental sound will bring people back to some scenarios related to your family memories, such as some chatting sound between parents.it will be very interesting to create a improvisational music concert when few people trigger the object sensors at the same time randomly, and it will be loud, noisy or emotional.
