Marek PÄdziwiatr is a pianist and composer from WrocÅaw, Poland. He is the leader of the hugely popular sextet EABS, whose current 2019 album Slavic Spirits received widespread critical and popular acclaim, and a member of BÅoto ā four musicians from EABS whose free jazz aesthetic is rooted in brutal hip-hop grooves, as heard on their recently released third LP, Kwasy I Zasady (Acids and Bases). Marek is involved in other musical projects under the name Latarnik, including the 2021 album Nafs At Peace, a collaboration with UK-based flautist/bandleader Tenderlonious and Pakistani instrumental quartet Jaubi. All the above are released on Astigmatic Records.
