Happy Earth Day everyone! Even though I'm confined to the indoors for a long period of time (working), Procreate still makes it possible for me to practice painting like Bob Ross. I can bring in any photo, create a limited paint palette, and restrict myself to one tool (like the 6B Pencil used here). Plein air painting was a big deal in the Impressionist and Naturalist movements. Artists wanted to show how light and color change quickly. I spent under an hour on this piece as a live demo of Procreate at my work. So even though I couldn't be at the lake, I could still practice plein air painting techniques and timing.
