'10MW Router MultiJig' - Full Bundle, now included drilling guide!
$96.91
10minuteworkshop
The Router Multijig is the latest in the 10MinuteWorkshop product lineup and came about after fielding many questions around the basic plywood handle cut-out jig I've used in videos, and the idea of combining several of those cut-out shapes into a jig that would serve several purposes had a lot of appeal, both in terms of the product providing value, but also in broadening its reach to the widest audience possible. I've previewed the MultiJig prototypes in a couple of recent videos - I'll link them below - and a free reference guid as well, but the jig covers seven broad use cases; Three types of handle cut-outs (butterfly wing, recess and D-handle) Four sizes of bar handle fixings positions (160mm, 128mm, 96mm and 64mm) A run of five holes on 32mm centres eg for shelf-pins Concealed hinge and hinge plate marking positions Offset dog hole extension for a traditional (96mm grid) MFT top Inline dog hole extension for alternative (128mm grid eg Wolfcraft) bench top Corner radii with R30, R22.5, R15 and R10 rounderovers. There is nothing new in any of the above (maybe the butterfly-wing cut-out and the 128mm MFT extension holes) but I'm not aware of anyone else putting them all together into a single jig before. Like many jigs of this type you will need a plunge router fitted with a 30mm guide bush to locate it accurately, and also to make it quick and easy to change positions. The handle cut-outs are intended for a 12-13mm (half-inch) router bit, but changing the size of the bit and the guide bush will give a wide range of cut-out sizes. Because of the many functions, there are a variety of accessories that would be needed to get the most from the jig. For shelf pin holes I recommend a 4.76mm x ¼" shank router bit, or a 5mm drill bit with the drilling guide. For bar handles I recommend a 5mm x ¼" shank router bit (NB bar handle screws are typically 4mm, but a 5mm hole give a little ‘wiggle-room’) or a 5mm drill bit with the drilling guide. For MFT offset or extension holes I recommend using a benchdog collar to locate the jig, either for standard 25mm benchdog heads, or 20mm quad-style benchdogs. The MultiJigs is available in two variations; as a plain jig, and a ‘full bundle’. This listing is for the Full Bundle and consists of the jig, and a pair of 5mm clevis pins used to reference the jig off the workpiece edge as needed. There's a ¼" shank, 4.76mm spiral upcut bit for shelf pins, a ¼" shank, 5mm spiral upcut bit for bar handles, a pair of dog collars for 25mm benchdogs and a pair of 20mm dog collars for Quad-style benchdogs. NEW! Due to popular demand there's also a drilling guide included with the full bundle for the times when you need to eg drill handle positions with a door or drawer already installed. Note that you will need a 5mm drill bit for this. You can also use the drilling guide to extend the row of shelf-pin holes, using the 5mm reference pins. There's a video about the drilling guide here that explains the benefits on YouTube here - https://youtu.be/FcD_fYCV4RY There's a nice black cotton bag to keep it all in, and with the full bundle is now £73 plus VAT, shipping and handling. Please see the other listing to purchase the plain jig. The jigs are precisely machined from sustainably sourced Valchromat, and are designed and made here in Britain. Shipping is by Royal Mail 48hr tracked (domestic UK orders) and International Tracked (international orders) and there'll be a tracking number added to the listing when the label is printed; tracking becomes active when the package is in the system, but please note that due to circumstances beyond out control we've had to bring the order fulfilment back in-house and typically ship items twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays; the frequency will increase during busier times, but we're not Amazon - thankfully - and appreciate your patience. The "Italic" side-table project 'plans plus' (includes step-by-step video)
$17.25
10minuteworkshop
Hi, and thanks for taking a look at the 'Italic', a lightweight side table designed to sit just below the arm of a sofa or armchair as a place for small items - TV remotes, drinks, snacks etc... The design can be simply made from sheet material eg plywood or MDF, and cut with just a tracksaw or circular saw. The upright that connects the top and base can be fixed with hidden fixings like dowels, biscuits or loose tenons, or if the table is to be painted then through connectors eg screws could also be used with the heads filled or dowelled, and painted over. This 'Plans Plus' edition includes a step-by-step 'build with me' video - the links are clearly marked on the first (overview) and last (links and resources) pages - and takes you through the whole build in 'easy mode' using just a simple dowel jig for the joinery. As always, plans are provided for you to make the item for your personal use, the design is registered, and all rights are reserved. Note that plans are supplied as a digital download, and note that plans are only available in metric dimensions. These plans have a few variations on them - two material thicknesses in three heights - so please read them carefully, and be sure to also watch the original public-facing video on YouTube if you haven't already done so, link below:- https://youtu.be/JIMnWxM7KA8 Thank you, and have fun!
10MW LTJ30
$112.83
10minuteworkshop
The 10MinuteWorkshop Loose Tenon Jig 30 is the next generation of Loose Tenon Jigs that combines the simple functionality of the original jig together with the shelf-pin goodness of the Plus jig, but in a new material and using a more readily available 30mm guide bush, hence the new name - the LTJ30. The LTJ30 comes complete with machine screws for assembly and reference pins for easy alignment; options are available with a starter pack(dominos and 5mm bit), and a Starter Pack Plus (with additional shelf-pin bit) - please see my other items for these variations. Staying true to its origins, the LTJ30 is a simple 2-piece flat-pack router jig made specifically to put loose tenon mortices in the face and edges of 18mm thick boards to make simple carcasses - cabinets, wardrobes, shelves etc... In addition, the jig can be used to make holes on 32mm centres eg for shelf-pins, and there’s an assembly guide and video guide available for download - video links are on the guide, available as a free download here:- https://bit.ly/LTJguide. Designed with 5x30mm loose tenons (Dominos) in mind, the jig will work with other sizes and material thicknesses, with the appropriate bits and plunge depths. It is, to the best of my knowledge, the only jig that allows for both narrow and wider mortice settings without moving or altering a stop on the jig. The LTJ30 is suitable for larger routers - the wings allow for easier clamping - and is precisely machined from a melamine-faced board manufactured to far higher tolerances the the Birch ply used previously. All markings are CNC cut for longevity, the jig is designed and made here in Britain, and ships globally. You’ll need a plunge router with a 30mm guide bush (most router manufacturers supply a 30mm guide bush as an OEM part) and jig is simply assembled using the supplied machine screws (take care not to over-tighten them) which make it easy to knock-down for storage; it should be self-explanatory, but there is an assembly guide if required, available as a free download here:- https://bit.ly/LTJguideShipping is by Royal Mail 48hr tracked (domestic UK orders) and International Tracked (international orders) and there'll be a tracking number added to the listing when the label is printed; tracking becomes active when the package is in the system, but please note that due to circumstances beyond out control we've had to bring the order fulfilment back in-house and typically ship items twice a week, Mondays and Thursdays; the frequency will increase during busier times, but we're not Amazon - thankfully - and appreciate your patience. DIY Rail Hinge Plans with Pivots & Pins Bundle
Limited stock
10minuteworkshop
This is a pair of rail hinge pivots with associated hardware for use with the bundled DIY Birch Ply Rail Hinge plans with step-by-step build video. The plans are a Digital download (PDF) that will be emailed to the address you provide at checkout. The hinge pivots are the most fiddly part of this build, because they need to be drilled precisely, and identically, and these parts have been precision machined to very high tolerances in quality 12mm Birch plywood. You will receive a pair of pivots arranged on a tile, held in place with tabs, and you'll need to cut these away and give them a light sanding. The pivots come pre-drilled with 3mm holes for fixing onto the hinge riser, and a 5mm hole for the steel dowel pin. A pair of 5mm dowel pins is included in the package, together with a pair of 5mm clevis pins that are used for (optional) height adjustment/locking; you will only need one clevis pin - the other is a spare. Shipping is by Royal Mail 48hr tracked (domestic UK orders) or International Tracked (international orders) and there'll be a tracking number added to the listing when the label is printed; tracking becomes active when the package is in the system - usually the next working day. My apologies for the high cost of international shipping - nothing we can do about that, unfortunately, even for such a small item. Any questions, just ask. Thank you! DIY SYS-TOTE
$11.94
10minuteworkshop
This is a set of plans to make a simple little plywood tool tote with a twist - the bottom tray can be left behind, or with literally a 180 turn it can be picked up in the stack, and the whole things fits in a t-loc systainer, too. *Note that the plans are only available with metric dimensions - as are the Systainers the tote fits into.* The design is based on one I made about 20 years ago, updated for the T-Loc systainer dimensions and with the added goodness of a bottom 'tray' that can be latched onto the stack, or left in the systainer - or back in the workshop. The supplied dimensions assume construction from 9mm plywood, and the while tote can easily be made from a quarter of a sheet (1220 x ~610mm) with basic tools, and there's a suggested cutting layout that preserves the grain orientation. The tote handle was made from a piece of 12mm offcut just for comfort, but 9mm will work just as well. There's a public-facing YouTube video - links below - that goes through every step of the build, so there's not 'plus' version of these plans. As always, plans are provided for you to make the item for your personal use, the design is registered, and all rights are reserved. Note that plans are supplied as a digital download; if you checkout as a guest the confirmation email will include your download link, and this is the only one you will receive, so please keep it safe.
