This is the first in a series of video interviews with Mandan business owners. Our hope is to better acquaint you with the people behind our shops, restaurants and other businesses and to familiarize you with their products, services and community involvement.
Dylan & Hannah Hilfer-Schafer, co-owners of Dialectic Brewing Company, grew up in Mandan. It was during the years of furthering their education that they fell in love with brewing craft beer as a hobby. After some time of working in the industry, the couple decided it was time to open their own brewery back home.
Dialectic Brewing often joins with other local breweries to release a special beer with proceeds from that brew going to a specific cause, or they’ll simply work with an organization to create a fundraiser. Dialectic Brewing has worked with United Way, North Dakota Women’s Network, Bismarck Cancer Center, Dakota OutRight and others in the community.
Dialectic Brewing Company specializes in brewing beer with a lower alcohol percentage, or “session” beer, so you can enjoy more than one in a session. So grab your friends and head over to Dialectic Brewing at 416 W Main St.
