Hovermap is a 3D lidar mapping payload suitable for small rotorcraft Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) developed by the CSIRO Autonomous Systems Lab. It utilises our proprietary Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM) solution to generate 3D point clouds and therefore does not require GPS. This allows low-cost, high-resolution UAV-based lidar mapping both indoors and outdoors. It has a full spherical field-of-view with a range of 30m.
