Complete STL file set for this 3D printed airframe. This is the same file set as the Roughgen V2, but with the V-Tail as standard. Can be printed with PLA, PETG, Light Weight foaming PLA (Colorfabb/E-Sun), or Low Density PLA (Polymaker PLA-LW). wingspan - 48.9 in (1243mm) wing area - 234 sq.in. (1508 cm²) RTF weight - 11-27oz (370-770g) The Pika is the V-Tail glider design based on many popular F3F slope racers. This 3D printed airframe is capable of the flight characteristics only found in molded, far more expensive designs. The Pika has the performance and durability of the Roughgen line where carbon reinforcements are uses in the right places, and the printed parts are suited to survive harsh landing areas. The Pika comes standard with a detachable wing system and choice of wing type. All other tail options can still be used with this file set. Bread from F3F competition, the RG15 airfoil is a known performer with a huge speed range and excels many conditions from light lift to booming thermals. With a 1.2m wingspan is small enough to easily fit just about anywhere, but big enough to be seen easily even at a distance. Igneous 1200mm MH32 Airfoil - 4 SERVO - separate flaps
$24.00
Complete STL file set for this 3D printed airframe. This airframe includes the power pod, t-tail and wing choice. Can be printed with PLA, PETG, Light Weight foaming PLA (Colorfabb/E-Sun), or Low Density PLA (Polymaker PLA-LW). wingspan - 48.9 in (1243mm) wing area - 234 sq.in. (1508 cm²) RTF weight - 17-30oz (500-850g) The Igneous is a 3D printable airframe, based on F5B racing / performance gliders from the past 30 years. The Igneous is the T-Tail version of the Roughgen and includes the Power Pod. The Instructions have been tailored for building this powered t-tail variant. The slope nose version is also included and other tail options can be used with this set. Recommended wing - The MH32 4 Servo - this wing was designed to match well with the power system, with a higher lift curve for faster climbs and longer thermalling. With a hotter motor this wing can still show great speed and does well on the slope... a good all around wing. This wing design also uses a 7mm spar tube (instead of 6mm) offering the same stiffness as a solid 6mm spar, but almost haft the weight. This pared with the Polymaker LW-PLA makes for a light weight but stiff wing for long flights and amazing performance. You can select one of the other wing options, see the airfoils and wings page for a complete explanation of the different types. All wings fit all fuses, so upgrading later or trying additional wing type is easy. Designed to be printed in any type of material. Carbon reinforcement is recommended but not necessary. Printing ~ 20 individual pieces makes a whole airframe. This T-Tail version does not use a rudder, elevator only. Different tail, wing and power pods nose variations available separately. What do you get: STL files for each part Building instructions Print Settings for Prusa/Bambu/Orca, and Simplify3D, older Cura Update - v3c - fuse tail changes for better pushrod path and better printing, added LW power pod supplement for foaming LW-PLA. Update - v3b - update files for foaming and pre-foamed PLA printing Update - v3a - update wing and fin parts to "Perimeter Before Inner" design Update - V3 - this is just an update to the power pod nose and wing saddle. Servo mounting and vent are now part of the wing saddle part. Added support carbon channels to match the upper wing saddle carbon to add strength for higher power motor systems. Update - v2c - improved tail surfaces for larger area, big control surfaces, longer control horn and straighter pushrod. Added extra carbon channels in wing saddle for more carbon support if desired. Update - v2b - faster printing fuse and tail files for Cura Slicer, assembly features for vertical tail added Update - v2 - Roughgen v2 Fuse and wing as separate.

I think I found a new Light Weight 3D printing materiel - Polymaker Polylite PLA-LW Or Polymaker Light Weight PLA or LW-PLA or ??? what are they going to call it? Print files and instructions available from https://soarkraft.com/ Welcome and thanks for watching Please Like, Subscribe and comment to help support this channel. Here is the link to the Polymaker Polylite PLA-LW on Amazon I am an Amazon affiliate to purchasing through this link give back to this channel thanks https://amzn.to/3pndwAY I found this the other day on Amazon by chance, there is no information from Polymaker nor can I find anything talking about it any where else.... so I bought some. Here is my video of using it. It "Pre - Foamed" Light Weight PLA - so low density PLA. It prints with exactly the same print settings as regular PLA, but is ~65% of the weight. I like the foaming stuff, but it is a pain..... this was sooooooo easy. I am not sponsored by Polymaker or anyone else, my opinions are my own, and the video tells the story. Please buy my plans and support my channel at https://soarkraft.com/ The Roughgen V2 is a carbon reinforced slope glider airframe that is 3D printed, designed for speed and rough terrain landing. The design is based on performance and F3F competition models of the past 30 years, but as a 3D print-able version. Flies like a molded airframe, but 3D printed... so if you crash it, print another. Print - Fly - Crash - Repeat flown here: Roughgen V2 printed with Colorfabb LW-PLA Airfoil: RG15 Wingspan: 1.2M (48") Flying weight = 445g This model and options are available at https://soarkraft.com/ Everything designed to print with Cura Slicer (Free) and settings available in instructions. Other wing sizes and airfoils coming soon. Here are links to printers and materials used in this video. Clicking and following these links help fund this channel. Any support is appreciated.
