The video is in Portuguese with captions in English. Matéria Estelar (Stelar Mater) was an artistic videocenography project produced for Rhaissa Bittar's show in 2015. The project integrates the use of mapped projection with paper folding, generating unique visual effects. This paper shows the creative combination of different techniques and the personalized approach to projects. The songs on the album Stellar Matter speak from the standpoint of everyday objects that have fallen into disuse, such as phone books and forgotten fruits. Within this magical universe, the team devised a book that told the stories of the songs visually. To bring a craft and playful dimension to the production, they invited artist Liana Yuri, a specialist in the making of pop-up books. The process was quite laborious, requiring the realization and experimentation with several manual prototypes and their subsequent digitization, printing and cutting in the vinyl cutter. The result was the projection of images from the book being manipulated behind the band during the show, blending textures of rain and galaxy that made the atmosphere alive and charming. CHALENGE Produce a scenario that conveys the idea of lightness and generates enchantment; produce a totally original pop-up book; produce and project images from the book on the go. #linalopes #lilothink #light #creativetechnology #installation #interactive #mapping #videomapping #projectionmapping #paperengineering #popup Direction: Lina Lopes Image capture: Rhaissa Bittar Archive, Panela Produções, Camila Portela Video edition: Camila Portela Subtitles: Cassia Oliveira Text: Lina Lopes, Susan Moreno
