Initial cleanings always require a thorough "deep" cleaning, similar to our move-in or move-out cleaning service. This ensures customer satisfaction and a good start. We send two cleaning technicians for deep cleanings and charge by the hour for one-time appointments and new customers. For your first-time or one-time cleaning service, the time it takes will depend on the size of the space. Many of our initial cleaning appointments take between two to three hours to complete. We will provide an accurate estimate when you speak with our staff for your initial service booking. Maid Zen is fully insured and bonded, and all of our employees must pass a criminal history background check. During each of our initial cleanings, our technicians cover the following areas of your home and tasks: In the living, dining & family rooms, we: • dust high places reachable with a two-step ladder and an extension rod, the ceiling fans, fan blades, and blinds • we hand-wipe all fixtures, windowsills, doors, door frames, and baseboards • Finally, we vacuum the carpeting and rugs For the kitchen and laundry areas, • We dust high places such as crown molding and blinds • We hand-wipe cabinet exteriors, countertops, kitchen appliances, as well as the microwave inside and out • Furthermore, our cleaning technicians hand-wipe the stove exterior, the refrigerator exterior, and the dishwasher exterior • We also clean and disinfect the sinks and countertops • We hand-wipe the windowsills and baseboards • and we finish by vacuuming and mopping the hard-surfaced flooring In Bedrooms and Office Areas: • Again, we dust high places, including the crown molding and ceiling fans • We hand-wipe all the fixtures and baseboards • We remove and replace bed sheets and make the beds throughout • and we thoroughly vacuum the carpeting In the bathrooms throughout the home, we: • Dust crown molding • Hand-wipe cabinet exteriors, fixtures, and baseboards • Clean mirrors and countertops • Clean and disinfect tubs, showers, as well as the toilets inside and out • We complete the cleaning by thoroughly vacuuming and mopping the floors Maid Zen cleaning technicians also offer extra cleaning tasks upon request and additional cost.
