Walk through the process of creating your own Federal Student Aid (FSA) account username and password, also known as an FSA ID. Your FSA ID can be used to securely log in to U.S. Department of Education websites such as https://StudentAid.gov. You’ll also learn how to set up two-step verification to better protect your identity and account information. If you plan to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) form when it becomes available on Oct. 1, you (and your parent if you're a dependent student) should create an FSA ID as soon as possible.
