This item is not painted, so is a textured matt finish but we now have these available with a painted satin black finish for more of a shine - see our other listing. The rear bumper strip that Land Rover produces (as part of the 5pc chequer plate kit) is really only a decorative trim piece as it does not fully cover the top of the bumper. We wanted to design a 'full cover' that offered some proper protection for you bumper (and looked cool too). We have designed and engineered this item ourselves, here in the UK under our own HSX brand. These are made from ABS plastic and features a chequer plate design. This rear bumper cover is pre-fitted with self adhesive tape and simply sticks into place - there is a surface preparation wipe included to ensure maximum adhesion. We have also included a tube of silicone which we recommend is applied in addition to the tape for extra security. It should be noted that this is not intended to be a step and we do not advise standing on your rear bumper due to it not being level! This cover will add an instant rugged off-road look to your vehicle as well as providing valuable protection to the paintwork on your bumper. Extended 'Chequer Plate' Mirror Covers with action camera mount for Land Rover Defender L663 This listing is for a set of HSX mirror covers for the Land Rover Defender L663. We have designed and engineered these mirror covers in-house under our HSX brand. These are an 'extended' design which are a full mirror cover. These mirror covers feature an integrated action camera mount on the top of each cover which is compatible with GoPro cameras so now you can film all your adventures ! The camera can be inserted from the front of rear of the mount giving you the option of forward or rear facing camera views. These are made from tough plastic (Polypropylene) with a matte black textured chequer plate finish. This is a pair of mirror covers, left and right. These mirror covers are shaped to 'hug' the wing mirror and almost snap into place and there is a small section of adhesive tape to secure the cover. We also supply a tube of silicone adhesive which you can use as an optional measure to further secure the covers - if you are using the camera mount we recommend applying some silicone at the top of the cover bear in mind this will make removal of the covers at a later date a little harder. We will supply you with an alcohol based surface prep wipe to ensure maximum adhesion. Nice bright reverse lights are always a good idea, these will improve your own visibility and also alert others you are reversing. We have designed this kit so that there is no need to cut, drill or modify your original car! We have utilised the recesses in the rear of the Defender to allow you to fix in 2x additional LED reverse lights. We have designed custom shaped plinths which house the LED units perfectly (and sit flush). These plinths are finished in gloss black and come pre-fitted with self adhesive tape.
