"We Grew Up in Blasdell" was voted Audience Favorite Documentary in Hilbert College's annual Triangle Shorts Film Festival 2020! DESCRIPTION:' Blasdell New York has been known as "One square mile of heaven" by the many people who have called this place home over the years. In this film, three Blasdell residents, one former resident, and one popular Blasdell business owner, share their stories. This is what it was like to grow up, live, and work in the little village of Blasdell New York. CREATOR'S NOTES: This short film documentary means a lot to me because it is the first film I ever made independently. Apart from the help of one of my fellow classmates who operated the drone camera, I did everything myself. I wrote, filmed, and edited the whole this during my senior year at Hilbert College. It is also very special to me because it is dedicated to my cousin who was in the film and taught me a lot about Blasdell. He unfortunately passed away before I could complete the film. I hope you like it. I worked so hard on this and it is, in my opinion, my greatest work to date. LEGAL DISCLAIMER: **NO COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT INTENDED** All footage in the film belongs to Rosalie Constable (me) and Drone footage belongs to Tony Nally All images were generously donated by Blasdell residents and historians.
