INTRODUCING PRANÃ A recovery experience that will change your thoughts on hospitalization A fortunate few sail through life without ever having to witness hospitalization. However, for a vast majority of us, illness and disease are tough times that we have to inevitably endure. To change the perception of hospitalization that most of us have, at Healing Hands Clinic, Pune, we have introduced Pranã, a series of recovery rooms created to provide a positive and soothing environment to the patient in the immediate few hours following a procedure. Furnished under the tasteful eyes of Dr Snehal Porwal, each room is carefully equipped to provide our patients with optimum comfort during their stay. While hygiene is given utmost importance, attention has also been given to design and aesthetics. The patient’s bed and comforter are covered in disposable sheets so that each patient has a fresh set of these. A couch is provided for the relatives or friends accompanying the patient. Each air-conditioned room has a television, while for the digitally detached, we have a small set of interesting books. An electric kettle along with tea and coffee sachets are also provided. And since this is the age of the internet, free Wi-Fi is the least we could provide! The Story Behind Pranã Why did we come up with this set-up? Simply because - Why not?? We spend so much during vacations, on clothes, fancy dinners, gadgets, in fact, even a casual movie outing these days burns a hole in one’s pocket. If we can spend on ourselves when we are hale and hearty, why not take that extra care of our mind and body when they need it the most? In our decade long journey of providing quality care to patients, we had many who expressed the wish for better accommodation. As awareness has grown, people are now more conscious of their health and are willing to go that extra mile to take care of it. At Healing Hands, we also get a considerable number of international patients and we would like to provide them a decent stay while they travel all the way to India. So, while we have Pranã, which is a humble attempt at providing that extra care, we also have comfortable and clean private and semi-private rooms. In the end, no matter where you choose to stay at Healing Hands Clinic, for us each patient is equal and each one is treated with the same amount of care and compassion.
