**CORRECTION** I keep saying "chain space" and that is incorrect. I meant to say just "chain." When working at the end of the single crochet row, you will work a single crochet into the chain itself. So sorry for the mistake. Learn how to make this easy 2 row repeat X Stitch blanket or it is also called the Criss Cross Stitch. It is easy enough that a beginner can master it in no time! This stitch can be used in many different items from baby blankets to throw blankets to even scarves. I hope you have as much fun making your project as I did mine.
