Low Back Somatic Release - Arch and Melt / Arch and Flatten

This is a really simple global low back muscle release to help loosen chronically contracted / tight low back muscles. It’s a great first release to prime your body for additional releases as it gets you dialed into your Somatic Center. I do this one myself every morning when I wake up and every evening when I first get into bed to help loosen up my low back. Especially when I first lay down in the evening and my back feels really tight and tired from the day it helps me get comfortable in bed. Instructions: Arch and Melt and Arch and flatten. Start laying on your back with your knees bent, inhale while arching your back and contracting the low back muscles (creating space under the low back) and then exhale melt your low back down resisting gravity to do this slowly. Arch and flatten is the same only at the end of the exhale you press your low back down into the mat to flatten your back into the mat.
